Now that there's no potential new series in his aim of fire, it appears that Harold Perrineau -- who played Michael for two seasons on the ABC series "Lost" -- is looking to return to his old stomping grounds.
But it may be a reunion that never happens, that is unless both ABC and Perrineau find common ground on how much money it would take to bring him back.
According to Kristin Veitch of E! Online, ABC has apparently made an offer to Perrineau, but the actor is looking for the same amount of money the network offered for him to return in Season 3, which he rejected to take part in a new pilot that wasn't picked up. It is unlikely that Perrineau will get what he's looking for despite the fact that ABC made a similar offer a year ago. But then again, a year ago, Michael was a popular character, and has all but been forgotten after the season ended.
If Perrineau did return, could that also mean a return for young actor Malcolm David Kelley? The actor turned 15 last month, and he definitely is much older looking (and sounding) than he was as the 10-year-old Walt. But the third season finale did suggest that the "Lost" castaways had jumped ahead maybe a year or more, so it might not be too far of a stretch to reintroduce an older Walt to the show.
None of this has been confirmed by ABC, so it should be treated as any other rumor.
"Lost" returns in 2008 on ABC.
