Apparently, the entertainment gods do listen to us lowly fans.

When ABC returns "Lost" for its fourth season more than six months from now, don't be looking for it in its old 10 p.m. time slot on Wednesday, or any day for that matter.

Stephen McPherson, president of entertainment for ABC, said work is being done to make sure that the series airs at a more decent hour when it returns for one of three 16-episode runs, according to TV Guide.

"I'd like to get in there at an earlier hour," McPherson said. "It's better as a 9 or 8 o'clock show."

Talk of a new time slot change has been circulating a while, and was reported May 4.

Also, TV Guide raised some concerns about how Bryan Fuller's new series, "Pushing Daisies," will do on a night that ABC has taken the rare gamble of filling it with nothing but new programs that includes the "Grey's Anatomy" spinoff "Private Practice" and the series "Dirty Sexy Money."

Because "Private Practice" is a spinoff, it features almost what would be considered a familiar series since it has a "known character" that would "anchor" the night for the network.
