Cincinnati gets UPN
The city is the newest market that will get the new Star Trek from a network, not syndication
It's not WKRP, but what the hell ... "Enterprise" as well as "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Roswell" are coming to Cincinnati!
Time Warner Cable recently announced that it will bring WBQC-Channel 25 to its lineup beginning Sept. 3, weeks before the launch of "Enterprise" and its "sister" sci-fi programs.
"We are excited that our loyal viewers will be able to see our UPN and syndicated programming channel lineup as part of Time Warner Cable's basic package," said Elliot Block, president of Block Broadcasting Company Inc. "This gives views in more 'distant' areas the ability to receive the WBQC-UPN 25 signal by becoming cable customers."
Virgil Reed, division president of Time Warner Cable of Cincinnati, said that as the company continues to "expand out programming choices to our customers, we are glad to be able to offer the UPN feed and a selection of syndicated programming."
