Lilly's Hawaii Home Destroyed In Blaze
'Lost' Star Was Working When Fire Struck
The home "Lost" star Evangeline Lilly rents with two crewmembers of the hit ABC series burned down in a fire, although Lilly, 27, herself was working on the set when the blaze hit, according to Zap2It.com.
"Yes, it is unfortunately true that her home in Hawaii burned down this morning," her publicist, Cara Tripicchio, said. "Thankfully, Evangeline is safe as she was on set already when it occurred."
"Lost" tells the story of 48 survivors of an airline crash living on a dangerous tropical island. Hawaii serves as home to the series' production. Lilly's home was in the town of Kailua.
"When we arrived the house was fully engulfed," said Honolulu Fire Capt. Kenison Tejada. "It was a complete loss. Just the roof was still standing."
A cause for the fire hasn't been determined, Zap2It said.
"There is no official statement, and I have no further comment or information to provide at this time," Tripicchio said.
"Lost" will return with new epsiodes each Wednesday night at 10 beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 7.
