'Heroes' Stays Solid To End November Sweeps

Helps lead NBC to finally win Monday night

Monday nights used to be all NBC with a variety of sitcoms that included "Alf" and later "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air." But NBC is finally starting to get that night back thanks to the strong ratings its pulling in for not only the game show "Deal or No Deal," but with its new comic book-style hit, "Heroes."

The cast jumped back six months in time, but the audience went with them as the superhero show earned a 9.0 rating/13 share for the second week in a row, according to Fast National Ratings from Nielsen Media Research. That was enough for the show to beat "Two and a Half Men" and "The New Adventures of Old Christine" on CBS for the 9 p.m. win. "Heroes" also was once again the leader in the key 18 to 49 age demographic, giving NBC a 5.1 ratings win, trailed CBS, ABC and Fox.

While CBS had more households tuned in to its lineup, NBC pulled away with more viewers -- 13.51 million in all -- to win Monday night with an 8.2/12 overall, followed by CBS with 8.6/13, ABC with 6.8/10, and Fox at 5.3/8.

"Heroes" airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.

Fast nationals usually provide a snapshot of what Americans are watching by pulling numbers from the top urban markets. A rating point generally represents more than 1.1 million households while the share indicates the percentage of televisions turned on that was tuned to the specific program. These numbers typically shift when final ratings are issued.
