The Future of SG-1
Show Looks To Beam Into TV Movies
A series of television movies -- that's what the future apparently holds for "Stargate SG-1," according to the IGN TV website.
MGM has been talking with other networks about picking up the show since it was cancelled by the SciFi Channel, but it seems no one has expressed interest ... for now.
Cast members reported to the site that, although nothing has been finalized yet, they expect to appear in several TV movies based on SG-1 once the series concludes early next year.
IGN TV speculated that this arrangement could be similar to the one "Farscape" had with the SciFi Channel, although only one film, "Farscape: Peacekeeper Wars," has been the result.
"Stargate SG-1" will return with new episodes in March of 2007.
