'Lost' Star Jail Time Will Not Hinder Production

Rodriguez Behind Bars For Five Days

Michelle Rodriguez's decision to serve jail time for a drunk-driving offense won't affect ongoing production of the second season of ABC's hit drama "Lost," an ABC spokesman told the Associated Press.

Rodriguez, who plays former cop Ana Lucia in J.J. Abrams' series about airline crash castaways, turned herself in to begin serving a five-day sentence in a Hawaii jail.

The "Lost" season finale is being filmed this week and production is scheduled to be completed by May 5, the AP reported.

A judge gave Rodriguez the choice of performing 240 hours of community service, but the actress opted for the jail time and a $500 fine instead.

"I would suspect that because she has a hard time even going out for a meal without being intruded upon for an autograph or photograph, it's really difficult for her to do community service," her attorney, Steve Barta, said. Rodriguez and castmate Cynthia Watros were both charged with drunken driving after they were pulled over Dec. 1 in separate cars within 15 minutes of each other. Watros plays Libby in the series.

Rodriguez recorded a blood-alcohol level of 0.145 percent, nearly twice the legal limit of 0.08, according to the AP. Watros had a blood-alcohol level of 0.10, it added.

"Lost" airs on ABC each Wednesday night at 9 p.m.
