An IMAX version of the forthcoming "Superman Returns" will debut June 30, the same day the conventional film debuts in theaters, according to SciFi Wire.

Some 20 minutes of director Bryan Singer's movie will be an "IMAX 3-D Experience."

"The test scenes that have been converted into IMAX 3-D look, sound and feel absolutely amazing," Singer said in a statement. "The magic of IMAX 3-D will envelop audiences in this story, enabling them to feel the emotion, drama and suspense in a completely new and unique way."

During certain sequences, a visual cue will indicate when audiences should put on and remove their IMAX 3-D glasses, SciFi Wire said.
