'Galactica' Finale To Stretch To 90 Minutes
Will make the season finale a grand total of 2-1/2 hours
The following story contains MODERATE SPOILERS for the second season finale of "Battlestar Galactica."
If you have some post-"Battlestar Galactica" Season 2 plans taking place immediately after its March 10 airing ... you might want to plan a bit later.
The season finale of the hit SciFi Channel series has been expanded to 90 minutes, and will center around the continuing battle between President Laura Roslin (Mary McDonnell) and Vice President Gaius Baltar (James Callis).
The episode also will focus a bit on a new inhabitable planet that gets Roslin and company considering whether or not they wish to abandon their search for Earth.
"Galactica" is quickly wrapping up its second season, the first to have a full 20 episodes. It already has been renewed for a third season of 20 episodes, which will begin filming next month for a June release.
"Battlestar Galactica" airs Fridays at 10 p.m. ET on SciFi Channel.
