'Invasion' Takes Break, 'Alias' Follows 'Lost' For Two Weeks
'Alias' ratings have declined since moving to Thursday
Instead of running repeat episodes of "Invasion" on two Wednesdays in December, ABC is moving "Alias" from Thursdays at 8 to follow "Lost," according to Zap 2 it.
On Dec. 7 and 14, new episodes of "Alias" will air at 10 p.m. What will replace "Alias" on Thursday nights is not yet known.
ABC's attempt to gain a foothold on Thursday night hasn't fared well this year. After respectable ratings early the season, "Alias" has seen a decline each week. The show that followed it, an updated "Night Stalker," has already been cancelled after only six episodes.
The episode of "Lost" that will air on Dec. 7 will be a rerun. There has been no announcement if there will be a new episode or a rerun of that show on Dec. 14.
"Invasion" is presently expected to return to its previous time slot in late December unless "Alias" can deliver stronger ratings for the network.
