Olmos: 'Galactica's' Second Season More Complex

SciFi Channel running first-season marathon on Wednesday, July 6

According to Edward James Olmos, who plays Commander Adama in the SciFi Channel hit series, "Battlestar Galactica," the show's second season will be "better than the first one -- it's more complex."

That's the word from Chicago Tribune reporter Maureen Ryan in her recent "News you can use ..." column in which she discusses an interview with Olmos.

The actor does express concerns about those who haven't seen previous episodes of the show.

"I'd hate to be a person who saw Season 2 without having seen Season 1," he told Ryan, indicating that keeping up with the show's continuity will be very important.

SciFi Channel is apparently already on the problem. The cable channel will be airing a marathon of the first season of "Battlestar Galactica" on Wednesday, July 6, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

New episodes begin airing on the SciFi Channel on Friday, July 15, at 10 p.m., following the new season premieres of "Stargate SG-1" at 8 and "Stargate Atlantis" at 9.
