Patrick Stewart Fine After Hospital Trip
Says he didn't suffer from a heart attack
He says he's OK.
Patrick Stewart, best known as Capt. Jean-Luc Picard in "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and as Professor X in the X-Men films, confirmed that he recently was taken to the hospital for suspected heart problems, but there's nothing to worry about.
Stewart apparently took ill while filming a new movie called "Eleventh Hour" in Manchester, England.
Stewart's spokeswoman confirmed that he was taken to the "casualty department" of the Manchester Royal Infirmary, where doctors said he was fine. She refused, however, to confirm that he suffered chest pains and was connected to a heart monitor.
He was feeling unwell at the weekend while filming," the spokeswoman said. "He got it checked out at the local A&E department and he is absolutely fine. He was not taken by ambulance. He either drove himself or was driven."
The spokeswoman remained mum about anything else regarding the 64-year-old actor, saying that "someone's health is a fairly personal matter, and he doesn't want to say anything else."
