SyFy Genre Awards Winners To Be Announced Live
Find out how you can take part ... for free!
Think that just waiting for the story here to announce the annual SyFy Genre Award winners here is dull? Well, we're listening.
On June 20, at 8 p.m. ET, Airlock Alpha will announce LIVE the winners of this year's Genre Awards. The winners will be announced during a special chat from Airlock Alpha's YahooGroups, which you can find by clicking here.
How do you access the chat? You will need to be logged in to Yahoo! and be signed up for the Airlock Alpha mailing list. Signing up is free and easy, either by following the instructions from the YahooGroups page, or by sending a blank e-mail from the e-mail account you want signed up to syfyportal-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.
Joining the Airlock Alpha mailing list gives you many features and benefits, including entry into occasional contests, breaking news alerts, heads up on different stories, and other member exclusives. It also gives you headlines from Airlock Alpha in your mailbox absolutely free.
Over the last few years, Airlock Alpha has not really promoted this list, but still, it has nearly 500 members. E-mail from the group is limited, so you don't have to worry about getting a lot of extra e-mail in your box.
Winners for this year's Genre Awards will be announced in the news portion on June 22.
And as an added bonus for those who join in on the chat, Airlock Alpha owner Michael Hinman (hey, that's me!) will be in the chatroom beginning at 7 p.m. ET to welcome members in and also to give a very rare opportunity to pick his brain about things that are happening in the entertainment world. As many of you know, not everything that is rumbled about in Hollywood (either the one in California or the one in Canada) makes it to the news pages, but they are still going on. Have a question about your favorite show? Looking to get a scoop? Can't understand why you're show isn't coming back next season? What's being threatened with cancellation? What's returning? For one hour only, you can pose those questions to Michael Hinman, and be able to join other Airlock Alpha readers in the chat!
Voting for the Genre Awards continues until June 15. Find out how you can vote by visiting the main page for Airlock Alpha.
For more information on how to join in for the chat, e-mail Airlock Alpha at syfyportal@aol.com.
