Hints Of Future 'Battlestar Galactica' Episodes Hit Net
SPOILERS: Adama and Starbuck find themselves in trouble
The following story contains MODERATE SPOILERS for the first part of "Battlestar Galactica's" second season.
Thank goodness there's a second season of "Battlestar Galactica" coming to SciFi Channel. Otherwise, there would be a lot of questions unanswered. But fans hoping that many of those questions will be answered in the first few episodes of the second season will be disappointed.
GateWorld has released some tidbits from the first five episodes of "Battlestar Galactica's" second season, which Hollywood North Report's Jim Iaccino said he confirmed as being accurate. They include near-death experiences, a Cylon invasion, and an almost "Earth: Final Conflict"-like human resistance.
In the first episode, "Scattered," doctors continue to work on Cmdr. William Adama (Edward James Olmos), who was shot in the first season finale by Boomer (Grace Park). The Galactica herself is separated from the fleet, and as Boomer is exposed as a Cylon, suspicion of other high-ranking members become rampant.
In the second episode, "Valley of Darkness," Cylon centurions find their way onto Galactica. Lee Adama (Jamie Bamber) has to lead a team of marines to try and stop them.
"Fragged" is the third episode of the season, which still has Cmdr. Adama clinging to life. Col. Saul Tigh (Michael Hogan) must face the civilian government, who is a bit pissed that Adama tried to overthrow the government.
In the fourth episode, "Resistance," Starbuck (Katee Sackhoff) and Helo (Tehmoh Penikett) become part of a group of humans who survived the Caprica attacks and are starting a resistance movement against the Cylons. Starbuck then gets another episode in "The Farm" where she is shot, and wakes up in a remote hospital facility on Caprica. A doctor there, however, has some interesting plans for her.
Nothing is mentioned of the fate of President Roslin (Mary McDonnell), or the teams still stuck on Kobol. But it does give a taste of the direction "Battlestar Galactica" will be going in the coming months.
"Battlestar Galactica" returns to the SciFi Channel in July with a 20-episode second season. It currently airs Fridays at 10 p.m. ET on the cable channel.
