Airlock Alpha To Offer Sneak Preview On Saturday

Get a peek at SyFy's new look for one hour only!

We've been working real hard on the new look of Airlock Alpha. We've actually spent the last several months on the design, and while we had hoped to have the new look up by the beginning of the year, we want to make it to be perfect, so we're taking a little bit more time on it.

But we know many of you have been waiting far too long to see exactly what we've been doing. So, we're going to offer you a sneak peek.

That's right! On Saturday, Feb. 26, visitors to Airlock Alpha will get a chance to see the look of the future. For ONE HOUR ONLY, from 8 to 9 p.m. ET, we will make a sample of our new front page available at www.airlockalpha.com/preview.

While the site will be launching its new design in the near future, this is your chance to get a glimpse of what to expect.

The new design was created by Bryant Griffin, Airlock Alpha's lead graphic designer. He designed the current Airlock Alpha logo, and his work also can be seen with Roddenberry Productions on many of their logos, including an updated version of the Roddenberry.com logo. Programming for the site is being led by lead programmer Leigh Ashton.

Airlock Alpha was founded as SyFy World in August 1998 by Michael Hinman, who currently is news editor and owner of the site. In 2000, it merged with Star Trek Portal to become Airlock Alpha. Run by the SyUniverse Group, the site also includes writers Alan Stanley Blair, Wayne Hall and Brian Meskimen as well as columnist Scott Nance.
