Star Lance Henriksen confirms cancellation of film's premiere
It is one of the most anticipated movies of the summer, but signs from the productions indicate that we might have to wait that little bit longer as "Alien vs. Predator" is still in post-production, only days away from the film's Aug. 13 opening.
But dont panic, the film might just make it in time for its national debut. However, rumors have been circulating the Internet that the film will not be ready in time for its premiere, at which many of Hollywoods top celebrities will be expected to make an appearance, including Lance Henriksen, who stars in the film.
Manns Chinese Theaters has had the premiere listed at their Web site as taking place on Aug. 10 at Grauman's Chinese Theater, but now it seems the premiere has been cancelled.
Henriksen confirmed the cancellation of the premiere, stating the reason as last minute editing on the part of Paul W.S. Anderson, the film's director. But nevertheless, Henriksen confirmed that it will be complete in time for release on Aug. 13.
"Alien vs. Predator" is a combination of two very successful movie series, "Alien" (which originally starred Sigourney Weaver) and "Predator" (with Arnold Schwarzenegger). The movies also helped produce a popular computer game, with the same name of the upcoming film in which the gamer gets a chance to play Marines, aliens and deadly predators in a one-on-one bloodbath.
