It's not a secret that a third "X-Men" movie is in the works. But it doesn't hurt to get some of the principle actors to confirm it.

Hugh Jackman, who plays Wolverine in the movie series, told Sci-Fi Wire that there will be a third film in the franchise.

"I know they're in discussions about it," Jackman said. "They're trying to work out schedules and things like that."

Many of the people involved with the films have been busy, including producer Tom DeSanto, who is involved with a planned live-action version of "The Transformers." Director Bryan Singer is working on "Logan's Run." And Jackman is in the upcoming film "Van Helsing."

It is possible that the storyline for a third film will involve the character of Dark Phoenix, which is a reincarnation of the Jean Grey (Fammke Jannsen) character.
