"Angel" has hardly been put into the grave by The WB, but some of the powers that be on the show are keeping their options open.

According to TV Guide Online, co-creator Joss Whedon could be trying to bring this show over to UPN, similar to his previous creation -- "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."

"We've talkeda bout the possibility, but it's a long shot," Whedon told TV Guide Online.

A spokeswoman from UPN refused to comment, but a series insider said that Twentieth Century Fox is putting together a proposal for UPN.

Also, in case the show does end, will Sarah Michelle Gellar be willing to reprise her role as Buffy?

"We'll put out some feelers (again) to see if there's some interest there," Whedon said. "We'd certainly love to have her."

However, Whedon said that he is not "banking" on the actress changing her mind from her previous decision to not appear on the show this season.
