'Smallville' Continues Decline

'Angel' continues stronger, but not as it could be

With "Star Trek: Enterprise" and "Jake 2.0" in reruns against Major League Baseball's World Series, "Smallville" and "Angel" seemed to do better against lesser competition, but both shows are continuing to decline, even if slightly.

According to Nielsen Overnight Metered Market ratings, "Smallville" score a 6.3 rating/10 share, a 2 percent drop over the previous week. "Angel" earned a 4.4/6, a 6 percent drop over the previous week.

While "Angel" ratings are better than expected, the fact that it's only carrying about 70 percent of "Smallville's" audience is creating some concern. However, its ratings have consistently been better than "Star Trek: Enterprise" this season.

"Jake 2.0," in the meantime, earned a 2.1/3 in its rerun spot. It was only a 19 percent drop from its regular new episode airings. The rerun of "Enterprise's" third season premiere earned a 2.9/5. Its rerun lost 25 percent of its audience from a week before.
