What happens when you find out that you're not just a regular boy, but you've also come from another planet? Al Gough, executive producer of "Smallville" on The WB, said that issue will be explored in the upcoming third season of the series, which premieres Oct. 1.

"How does he process it, and how will it help him on this road to becoming Superman?" Gough recently said.

He also released some other minor spoilers, including the fact that Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum) will "take a very dark turn early on."

"Clark (Tom Welling) will get a new superpower," Gough said. "There aren't that many left, so I'll leave to you to guess which one. But he gets it in a very interesting way."

Also, Terence Stamp will voice the character of Jo-El in the season premiere, Krypto the superdog will not appear in the first part of the third season, Lois Lane won't be seen until Season 4 at the earliest but Jimmy Olsen might pop in by the end of this season, and Lana (Kristin Kreuk) is expected to get a new love interest.
