Angel Becomes An Anti-Demon Boss
SPOILERS: The first conflict of the new season
Hopefully Angel (David Boreanaz) won't be starting a night club called the Badda Bing.
But he will have to get used to the boss life now when the fifth season of "Angel" gets under way on The WB on Oct. 1. Joss Whedon, the co-creator of the show, said that with the new season, the characters will have a new sort of mistrust between each other.
"It's a different issue (from the fourth season finale) because, first of all, nobody remembers Connor (Victor Kartheiser)," Whedon said. "But it's an issue, because everybody has their own motivation for being at Wolfram and Hart, and nobody trusts anybody else's. That's going to continue to be an issue all year."
But being the boss is what will really get at Angel beginning this season.
"The first thing Angel has to contend with is the fact that he actually has people who are supposed to do his fighting for him," Whedon said. "And that's not really how he likes to work. But he's a big corporate head now, so that conflict is in the first episode."
