'Smallville' Named A Family Favorite
'Angel' not liked by Parents Television Council
Well, a new season of television can't start with the annual report from the Parents Television Council, letting people know what they should watch and what they shouldn't watch. And as always, a genre show has been listed, but for once, it's actually listed on the good side. Well, almost.
The PTC has named "Smallville" on The WB a family-friendly show, ranking it among other shows like the now-cancelled "Touched by an Angel" on CBS, "Doc" on Pax, "7th Heaven" on The WB, "Life With Bonnie" on ABC, "Reba" on The WB, "Star Search" on CBS, "George Lopez" on ABC and "8 Simple Rules For Dating My Teenage Daughter" on ABC.
However, on the bad side, is "Angel" on The WB. Looking at the good list and the bad list, I think it's safe to say more of my viewing will come from the bad list. I wouldn't watch anything on Pax if Dubya brought both John Ashcroft and Tom Ridge to put a gun to my head. The bad include:
"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" on CBS, "Kingpin" on NBC, "Fastlane" on Fox, "NYPD Blue" on ABC, "Fear Factor" on NBC, "Girlfriends" on UPN, "Will & Grace" on NBC, "Friends" on NBC and "Big Brother 3" on CBS.
