'Punisher' Looking For Supporting Cast

More details of movie being released

Pre-production of the comic book movie "The Punisher" is moving forward as Artisan Entertainment and Marvel Enterprises is picking up its search for supporting actors for the upcoming movie.

According to FilmJerk, filmmakers are looking for someone to play Nicky Duka, a guy in his 30s who is described as a "slick, greasy kind of guy" with a good sense of humor.

Also being sough is Detective Jimmy Weeks, a 35-45 black character who was formerly in the Special Forces who is now trying to capture the Punisher.

Leonard Glass is in his 40s and is a sidekick to the villain, Howard Saint, already casted with John Travolta. He's described as being "good looking and conservative."

Stanley Bumpo is an extremely overweight character who is at least 275 pounds. This character was introduced in the comic series' third volume as Frank Castle's (Thomas Jane) neighbor, and is a happy-go-lucky guy who helps save Frank's life.

John Saint is between 18 and 22 who is the son of Travolta's character. He's described as being a "dark-haired pretty boy with a very well-toned body." Of course, if the movie stays with the comic book, this character won't have a lot of screentime, since it's an event that involves him that sets off the older Saint.

Finally, Mike Toro is a cutthroat Cuban gangster in his mid-30s.

Shooting is expected to begin in July in and around Tampa, Fla.
