Battlestar Galactica Game To Be Released
Will serve as a prequel to the BSG universe
The Sci-Fi Channel is still working on Ronald D. Moore's reimagining of "Battlestar Galactica," but anyone who wants to participate in the events leading up to the backdoor pilot soon will get their chance.
The Warthog company is developing a prequel vdieo game based on the BSG series that will be available on both PlayStation 2 and Xbox.
The game will become available on the DVD and VHS release of the original television series as well as part of the upcoming Sci-Fi Channel miniseries. It's being put together to celebrate BSG's 25th anniversary.
The game will be released by Vivendi Universal Interactive, which owns Sci-Fi Channel, and will feature Ensign Adama, 40 years before the events of the original television show. According to Sci-Fi Wire, players will get a chance to pilot retro versions of the Colonial Viper attack fighters, a Colonial heavy bomber, and the Cylon Raider.
