'Matrix' To Open Day Early
PLUS: Airlock Alpha organizes charity event
Fans who can't wait to see "The Matrix: Reloaded" had a day taken away.
Normally, most major, major films like "The Matrix" sequel, is shown at 12:01 a.m. the day before it opens for hungry fans who want to be the first to see the film. However, Warner Bros. has apparently beaten these theaters to the punch, but changing its release to 10 p.m. May 14.
In somewhat related news (well, only because of the date), Airlock Alpha officials have announced that they are in the process of putting together a fundraiser in Tampa, Fla. with Muvico 20. The event, which will take place in the Ybor City district of Tampa, will take place in Muvico's Premier Theater May 14 beginning at 9 p.m.
Tickets for the event, tentatively, are $20, but includes free food buffet donated by several Tampa area restaurants, any movie that happens to be showing at 10 p.m. May 14 (::cough, cough:: look above) in the Premier Theater, as well as an unplugged acoustic performance by the Golden Vanity.
Part of the proceeds from ticket sales as well as CD sales from Golden Vanity will support Joshua House, a children's home located in north Tampa.
For more information on how you can attend, or to simply donate to this charitable cause, contact Michael Hinman at michael@airlockalpha.com.
The event is still in its planning stages and should be finalized next week.
