When fans are filing in to see the third Matrix film, "The Matrix: Revolutions" in November, other fans who can't get tickets might be watching the Matrix sequels on the big screen. No not that big screen ... the big, big, big screen.

Within a few weeks following the May 15 release of "The Matrix: Reloaded," fans will be able to find one of 240 IMAX theaters worldwide to watch the first sequel on the big screen. However, when "Revolutions" hits theaters Nov. 5, the IMAX version will be available the same day.

Variety magazine reported that this would be the first time the IMAX version of a live-action film has been released the same time as the regular screen version.

Regular screen format normally is 35mm while IMAX is at the 15/70 format.
