One has to wonder if Charisma Carpenter is keeping watch out for demons after giving birth to her first child March 24.

According to reports, Carpenter -- who plays Cordelia in The WB's "Angel" -- was joined by her husband Damian Hardy in welcoming their first child, a boy who is reported to be "healthy and well."

In order to keep Carpenter in the show during her pregnancy, the producers decided to make her pregnancy a central plot line where she apparently has become pregnant with Connor's (Vincent Kartheiser) baby. However, the effects of the pregnancy haven't done well for Cordelia, as she turns evil, even tormenting Angelus (David Boreanaz).

Carpenter is expected back on the set soon to help finish the rest of the show's fourth season.
