Maguire To Return As Spidey
Back problems won't sideline actor
There will be a "Spider-Man" sequel, and it will have Tobey Maguire in it.
"Spider-Man" avoided the "Batman" curse at least for one movie, by keeping its key star despite Maguire complaining about some back problems, according to trade reports.
Although there has been some delays in pre-production, there has only been minor delays in the release of the film, where its opening has been moved from May 7, 2004 to July 2, 2004. However, word is that Maguire's back problems had nothing to do with the rescheduling.
The movie is scheduled to go into production April 12 in New York City.
