SyFy Genre Noms Sought

Get your voice heard in nomination process

Airlock Alpha is gearing up for its Fourth Airlock Alpha Genre Awards, that will begin soon right here at www.Airlockalpha.com.

In previous years, tens of thousands of votes were received from site visitors in various categories, honoring the men and women who work both in front and behind the cameras in science fiction, horror and fantasy.

The nomination committee for this year's awards has been organized, but the committee wants input from you, the visitors, on some of your ideas on who should be nominated.

So, sit down, take a few minutes, and see if you have any suggestions for nominees in the following categories:

BEST ACTOR/Television
BEST ACTRESS/Television
SUPPORTING ACTOR/Television
SUPPORTING ACTRESS/Television
BEST ACTOR/Movie
BEST ACTRESS/Movie
BEST YOUNG ACTOR
BEST SPECIAL GUEST/Television
BEST EPISODE/Television
BEST THEME SONG/Television
BEST SERIES/Television
BEST MOVIE
GENE RODDENBERRY LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Any actor or property that made an original appearance in the United States between March 2002 and March 2003 in science fiction, fantasy or horror are eligible to be nominated, whether they are directly covered by Airlock Alpha or not. Television shows can be nominated, whether they are still on the air or not, as long as they made their original run between the time periods.

Nominees for the Gene Roddenberry Lifetime Achievement Award can be an actor or crew member (or even an author) for anyone who has made a lasting contribution to the genre of science fiction, horror or fantasy.

Send your suggestions to SyFyPortal@aol.com before April 5.

Nominations will be organized during the second week of April, and the Fourth Airlock Alpha Genre Awards are expected to kick off sometime near the end of April. Visitors will be allowed to vote once per day for 30 days, with results being announced in May.
