FutureGuy Identity Remains Secret
Rick Berman says he has a good idea who the 'Enterprise' villain is.
The dark shadowy figure has been controlling the Suliban since the very beginning of the UPN series "Enterprise" last season, and executive producer and co-creator Rick Berman said after one year of toying with the villain -- they have an idea on who it's going to be.
"Which race? Which race in the future? Yes, we have a relatively good idea who's messing with things," Berman recently told Star Trek Monthly. "And I ain't gonna tell ya who it is. I will say that we have it in our heads, but there are variations on it that would give us different spins as it plays itself out. So, it's not totally locked down, but we have a pretty good idea of who's doing what and the different ways it could go."
When will the fans know who it is?
"That comes later," Berman said.
One actor who could end up being the dark figure would definitely make Bring Back Kirk activists happy. Berman said he has left the door open for William Shatner (Capt. James T. Kirk, "Star Trek") to step into a guest spot on "Enterprise" if he wants ... even though the series takes place before Kirk was even born.
"If Bill is willing, there's always a possibility," Berman said. "After all, 'Enterprise' takes place in the era of Kirk's great-grandfather probably, and there'd be nothing more fun than trying to work something like that out."
