Finally, some good Whedon news is here for loyal fans

Rising from the ashes of "Dollhouse's" cancellation and "Cabin in the Woods" being pushed to 2011, comes some good news for Joss Whedon fans.

"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" Season 8 comics, the continuation of the successful seven seasons of the television show, are on their way to the Internet. The comics are running through Season 9, but maybe more? Time will tell.

It's been announced that the Season 8 comics are going to be turned into motion-comic Webisodes, and voice talent casting has begun.

It will include many of fans' favorite characters of course, along with the addition of Twilight, the big bad of Season 8 (not the shriek-inducing series of books that won't be mentioned here), Lady Genevieve and the Slug Queen.

Here's an interesting tidbit: There's a request for a Daniel Craig-like voice in the casting call, presumably to play a character based on the latest rendition of Bond.

No word yet if there's any interest in the "Angel" comic books, though they've seen some success as well.
