"V" took a bit of a tumble in its second week on ABC, but it was still enough to lead the week in network genre shows.

"V" earned a 6.6 rating/10 share this past week, according to Fast National ratings from The Nielsen Co., losing more than 10 points in its Audience Loyalty Index rating. The show premiered with a huge 8.5/13, which was enough to make the top 10 list of overall network shows in the first week of November sweeps. Although it's no longer in the top 10, "V" did remain in the top 20.

"FlashForward" helped ABC keep its dominance among genre shows with 5.3/8. However, that was down more than 3 percent from the previous week, and is 13 percent off its season average after eight episodes.

"Fringe" was able to bounce back from its series low on Fox this past week, moving back to the 3.7/6 that it's been enjoying for most of its run against "Grey's Anatomy" and "CSI" this season. At the same time, "Vampire Diaries" boosted its audience by nearly 8 percent over the previous week, and is 12 percent over its season average.

The neat thing about "Vampire Diaries," besides it remaining The CW's top-rated show, is that is is now less than 10 percent behind its series premiere of 3.1/5 set on Sept. 10.
