With no Lex Luthor or even Doomsday, "Smallville" needs a new baddie.

Sure, Callum Blue will be around soon as Zod, but why not in the meantime Metallo?

Brian Austin Green, who wowed audiences as John Connor's uncle in "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," returns to Friday night network television as the new supervillain Metallo in "Smallville." It's sure that he will give Clark Kent and company a real hard time.

Metallo makes his first appearance this Friday, and he doesn't look rusty at all. OK, fine, that was a bad pun, but it's fun to continue teasing it.

Take your first look at Metallo coming into being that will appear on this week's "Smallville," which airs Friday at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
